It might be a problem with *my* new MacOSX installation but using a fresh checkout and the autotools that come with leopard developer tools (not a single fink tool is involved), compiling basix ends up with:
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating build/Makefile
config.status: creating doc/Makefile
config.status: creating script/basix-config
config.status: creating include/basix/config.hpp
config.status: executing depfiles commands
config.status: executing default commands
creating include/basix/basix-config.hpp - prefix BASIX for include/ basix/config.hpp defines
rm: conftest.dSYM: is a directory
make: *** [basix-all] Error 1
Does anybody have an idea on how to solve that ?
PS: after checking out I just ran ./configure, this may be not sufficient ?

Hi all,
As the title indicates...
Raouf and Julien; please retry.
I also added flags --with-readline, --with-gmp and --with-mpfr for
the global configuration. Raouf: you may try to install your personal
(latest) version of readline. I had no problems on my machine.
Best wishes, Joris
