I got my answer: no.
Also I figured out that the --texmacs option is meant for that. As a matter of fact, I got it working using this option. Looking at the attached screenshot, I think I will obviously have to filter the input.
Is this --texmacs mode documented somewhere ?
BTW: On many debian systems, basix does not load anymore.
